The Crossroads Appreciation Society website is an on-line television museum / information database for the television soap-opera, Crossroads. The files displayed on this site are for entertainment and/or educational purposes only. The Fan club is run in co-operation with Central Independent Television and co-creator Peter Ling.

Selling the files and/or using them as a part of a commercial operation would infringe copyright and the Crossroads Fan Club cannot be held responsible if the files were wrongly used in this way. We have been given permission by Central Independent Television to use images from the programme, and they have donated many photographs to our collection for use by the Fan Club.

If any of the material here has been mis-credited, and for some reason isn't from the ATV or Central archive, please contact us to have it removed, or preferably to arrange to be given a specific credit.

All of the images and movies available on the Crossroads Appreciation Society and its associated websites are presented for visitors to enjoy or use in research. We gain no profit whatsoever from them. We have been happy to work with Central/ITV as the public relations body for Crossroads, and again, Central do not pay us to do this - it is done for the love of the show.

Despite the fact we have authorisation from Central Independent Television (and the support of ITV Archive) we will also make visitors aware that the website complies with section 30 (1) of the Copyright, Designs and Patent Act 1988, which states that "Fair dealing with a work for the purpose of criticism or review, of that or another work or of a performance of a work, does not infringe any copyright in the work provided that it is accompanied by a sufficient acknowledgment."

Central Independent Television is owned by Granada International, and we recognise all trademarks, logos and copyrights of ATV, Central, Granada and Crossroads.

Central Independent Television would like to make visitors/members aware that although the Fan Club works in an official capacity to provide information on the soap it doesn't mean the views of our reviewers and article writers are the views of Central Independent Television or its associated companies.

Photographs: The majority of images have been provided by Central Independent Televisions' publicity and press department. Other images have been sourced from other photo archives, such as the TV Times (which comes under ITV copyright for photographs used here). Credits for these images (that are not from Central) are listed at the bottom of the page in question. We have also been donated images from private collectors. Also some images/footage is courtesy of Granada Yorkshire or the official ITV Archive and their teams who work hard at looking after the serials heritage.

Our collection was created mainly between 1988 and 1994 via Central Press Office and staff at the station. More recent images/footage has been courtesy of Granada Yorkshire and/or ITV Archive.

Crossroads Items: Other items such as the Crossroads script of episode one and other production notes are courtesy of the official Crossroads archive of ATV-Central. These were accessed by CAS in 1989 and 1994, when Central Independent Television let the Fan Club into their archives.

The Crossroads Appreciation Society would like to thank the following for past and continued support of the fan club:

ITV Archive in Leeds and London for assisting the society with information, documents and imagery.

Central Television for assisting with the fan club back in 1987 as the show's production came to a close and donating many items to the society

Central Enterprises, Granada International and ITV Broadcasting for allowing the fan club to release merchandise (videos), hold stage shows/musicals and screen episodes at events.
